The module Assets allows the user to add any media files and documents to the entity entries.
These assets can be: documents related to the product development process, product brochures, video files and other media assets, original files of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop and any other documents and files.
To install the module Assets, go to Composer, install the module (click on "Install" - the module will be displayed in green), click on "Run Update" and confirm the update.
To remove the module, select the item "Remove" in the Action Menu (the module will be displayed in red), click on "Run Update" and confirm the update.
Note: When starting the system update, all users will be logged out.
By default, it is possible to add the assets only to the entity "Products".
If necessary, the administrator can also add this possibility for other entities by setting up a corresponding connection between the entity "Assets" and the required entity. In order to display the assets bar for the users, it is necessary to make corresponding changes in the Layout Manager.
By default, in order to save the entries, the user must enter Asset Name, Code, Asset Type and upload the appropriate file. If necessary, the administrator can add additional fields for the entity "Assets" in Entity Manager.
To use, create, modify, and remove entries in the assets entity, the administrator must set appropriate permissions for roles of users, teams, or portal users.
To add products to Product Assets, it is necessary to set permission to read and edit the entity Product.
After the module installation, the entity "Asset" can be added to the navigation menu.
The user can view, create, edit and remove the entries in the entity "Assets" (according to permissions). It is possible on both the entity page "Assets" and other entity pages to which assets are attached. i.e. a new file can be added to the product from the product page or from the entity page Assets. On the page Assets you can create new products and add existing products from the list using the buttons ▼ and ✚.
To create a new asset from the entity page, click on the button "Create Asset". The user will be redirected to the appropriate page. Required fields are marked with *:
By default, the following fields are available for the entity Assets:
|Active||Each asset can be activated and deactivated.|
|Asset Name||Name of the created attachment.|
|Code||Unique value that used to identify the attachment. It can contain only lowercase letters, numbers and underscores.|
|Asset Type||Flyer, Brochure, Manual, Technical Characteristics. If necessary, the administrator can change available types.|
|File||Uploaded file of any type: csv, png, md, jpg, zip and other files allowed in the configuration. Maximal size of uploaded files depends on server configuration settings.|
When uploading a file that is larger than allowed, a message appears indicating that the maximum size of uploaded files depends on server and system settings during installation. The administrator can change this value.
After creating an asset, the bar Products will be added to it, where you can select or edit any products that this asset must belong to. An asset can be added to multiple products.

After the module installation, the bar Assets will be added to each product page, where you can save the files related to the product.
The bar Products Assets is automatically added to entries of the entity Product. The name, code, type, file name and activity for the asset are displayed here.
On the product page you can create new attachments or select existing one from the list using the buttons ▼ and ✚.
